GO buses head to Peterborough, September 5



Starting Saturday, September 5, GO Transit buses head to the City and County of Peterborough for the first time.

Buses operating along GO’s new 88 Peterborough route link Trent University’s Peter Gzowski College in the north end of Peterborough with the Oshawa GO Station.

Ten southbound buses leave Trent Mondays to Fridays. They stop at the Downtown Peterborough Transit Terminal on Simcoe Street, the Peterborough South “Park and Ride” Carpool Lot at Crawford and Halper Streets (just north of Highways 7 and 115), the Cavan / Millbrook “Park and Ride” Carpool Lot at Peterborough County Road 10 and Highway 115 and the Oshawa GO Station. All buses arrive about 10 minutes before GO trains leave Oshawa to travel westward along GO’s 09 Lakeshore East line.

Ten northbound buses leave Oshawa GO Station Mondays to Fridays, heading for Trent. The buses leave about five minutes after eastbound trains have arrived in Oshawa. The buses stop at Cavan / Millbrook, Peterborough South, downtown Peterborough and Trent. Northbound buses travel north of Cavan / Millbrook only if passengers request the service.

On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, GO operates six southbound buses from Trent and six northbound buses from Oshawa GO Station. The schedule allows all passengers traveling to or from Peterborough to connect with trains at Oshawa.

An adult passenger traveling from Peterborough to Oshawa by bus and then by train to Union Station will pay $16.25 one way.
