McLaughlin construction delays Brampton Transit buses

Update — October 9: The Region is completely closing McLaughlin Road North overnight the evening of October 9 and early morning of October 10. Brampton Transit is detouring buses.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, the Region of Peel is starting a project to install watermains along McLaughlin Road North between Holtby Avenue and Queen Street West.

During most times of the week, the construction reduces the roadway to just two lanes — one northbound and one southbound. During Monday-to-Friday morning rush hours before 9 a.m. another southbound lane is open.

The project likely delays buses operating along Brampton Transit’s 3 McLaughlin and 1 Queen routes. Passengers should plan on adding extra time to their trips.

Construction continues until November 15.
