University of Guelph students pay for unlimited travel on public transit as part of their tuition fees, so Guelph Transit is increasing its services to the University and making other changes, starting Tuesday, September 8.
Specifically, Guelph Transit is: introducing a new route; canceling a route; resuming extra service to the university; resuming extra service to schools.
The changes affect these routes: 1 Woodlawn; 50 Stone Road express; 55 University / College; 56 Rickson express; 57 Harvard express; 58 Edinburgh express; Clairfields - Edinburgh loop; Downtown shuttle; Harts Lane high school special; John F. Ross high school special; Lourdes high school Special; North London — Elizabeth loop; University Sunday loop; West Hanlon — Kortright Loop.
University Sunday loop
Starting Sunday, September 6, Guelph Transit operates buses along this new route serving parts of the other late-night routes to and from the University of Guelph on Sunday evenings and early Monday mornings.
The bus leaves the University Centre at 6:30 p.m. Sundays and every hour until the last bus returns to the University Centre at 1:30 a.m. Mondays.
The bus proceeds:
southward along Gordon Street;
eastward along Clairfields Drive East;
around the Clairfields Traffic circle;
westward along Clairfields East;
northward along Gordon;
west- and northward along Edinburgh Road South;
westward along Kortright Road West;
north-, west- and northward along Woodland Glen Drive;
westward along Stone Road West;
north- and eastward along College Avenue West;
northward along Edinburgh Roads South and North;
eastward along London Road West;
south- and southeastward along Woolwich Street;
eastward along Macdonell and Elizabeth Streets;
southward along Victoria Roads North and South;
westward along College East;
southward along East Ring Road; and then
westward along South Ring Road to the University Centre,
ending their trips.

Guelph Transit is not operating buses along this route this year.
Resuming extra service to the university
Clairfields - Edinburgh loop
Starting Wednesday, September 8, Guelph Transit resumes this late-night (early-morning) shuttle service.
Buses operate from the University Centre every 30 minutes from 12:15 until 3:45 a.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Downtown shuttle
Starting Friday, September 11, Guelph Transit resumes this late-night (early-morning) service between downtown Guelph and the University Centre.
Buses operate every five minutes from 12:15 until 3:45 a.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between Guelph City Hall and the University.
58 Edinburgh express
Starting Tuesday, September 8, service resumes. Buses operate along the same route as last year, operating every 20 minutes from about 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

Buses operate from the University Centre every hour every hour from 12:45 until 3:45 a.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
50 Stone Road express
Starting Tuesday, September 8, service resumes. Buses operate along the same route as last year, operating every 20 minutes from about 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

West Hanlon - Kortright loop
Starting Wednesday, September 8, Guelph Transit resumes this late-night (early-morning) shuttle service.
Buses operate from the University Centre every hour from 12:15 until 3:15 a.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Buses drop off passengers on request along the route but only pick up passengers at the University Centre.
Resuming extra service to schools
1 Woodlawn
Starting Monday, September 1, Guelph Transit again diverts some buses operating along the route to serve passengers traveling to or from Trillium Waldorf School.
Buses operate along their regular route to Woodlawn Road East and Inverness Drive, then proceed:
northward along Inverness;
eastward along Simmonds Drive;
southward along Victoria Road North, dropping off and picking up passengers at Trillium Waldorf; and then continuing
southward along Victoria North to Woodlawn East,
resuming their regular route westward along Woodlawn.The buses that leave St. George’s Square at 8 and 8:20 a.m., noon and 12:20, 3 and 3:20 p.m. Mondays to Fridays divert to the school. They arrive at Trillium Waldorf at 8:20 and 8:40 a.m. and 12:20, 12:40, 3:20 and 3:40 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

Starting Tuesday, September 8, buses resume service along these special routes for passengers traveling to and from high schools.
