Milton Transit is introducing new evening drop-off service to replace the last Monday-to-Friday trips along all of its routes with a special evening drop-off service.
Instead of buses leaving Milton GO Station at 8 p.m. to operate along each of Milton Transit’s five routes, two zone buses will await passengers arriving in Milton on the last GO Transit train of the day.
At the station, passengers can board one of the two buses to travel to their destination zone:
- The west zone, bounded by Thompson Road, Derry Road, Bronte Street and Steeles Avenue;
- The east zone, bounded by Thompson Road, Louis St. Laurent Avenue, James Snow Parkway and Steeles Avenue.
After all passengers have boarded the bus, the driver will consider where the passengers wish to go and then create a unique route to take everyone to their destination.
The service works similar to Oakville Transit’s late-night Zone Express.
Milton Transit also equips all buses in its fleet with bike racks, starting Tuesday, September 8.
