TTC closes Downsview Station, September 19 and 20

On Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, the TTC is replacing subway service with buses between Downsview and Wilson Station station all day.

All northbound trains operating along the Spadina leg of the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway turn back southward at Wilson Station.

Regular service resumes Monday morning, September 21.

The TTC has not provided information on why it is closing the station. Perhaps some early work on the project to extend the subway to York University and the Vaughan Corporate Centre?

UPDATE on Monday September 14th 2009: The subway is closed due to track work taking place in the area of Wilson Yard.
