Centennial College construction affects transit services

Update — July 7, 2010: Construction has ended and regular GO and TTC service has resumed. GO no longer operates buses along the 50 U of T Scarborough / Centennial College - Unionville route.

Centennial College is building two new structures at its Progress Campus and the construction projects are affecting transit services.

Last week, GO Transit moved its stop on campus to a new location in front of the current TTC stop at the main entrance to B block so that passengers and buses avoid the construction.

Both TTC and GO Transit passengers can expect further changes to where they get off an on buses as the projects to build the new library, academic facility and athletic and wellness centre continue.

Construction continues until 2011.

GO Transit buses operating along these routes enter the Progress Campus:

51 Pickering - York U
50 U of T Scarborough / Centennial College - Unionville

TTC buses operating along these routes enter the Progress Campus:

102A Markham Rd
134B Progress

(Buses operating along other branches of the 102 Markham Rd route do not enter the campus, but stop at Markham Road and Progress Avenue. Buses operating along other branches of the 134 Progress route do not enter the campus, but stop at Progress Avenue and Progress Court. The construction does not affect buses operating along these other branches of the routes.)
