Barrie Transit detours buses during college auto show



Georgian College is closing various roadways on its Barrie Campus to accommodate the Canadian Automotive Institute’s annual Georgian College Auto Show from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, September 25, Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27.

Barrie Transit is detouring buses before the event, while work crews set up displays, during the event and after the event while work crews take the displays apart.


The event affects service along these routes: 10 Livingstone; 16 College; 18 St. Vincent; 20 RVH; 22 Crosstown; 28 East Hanmer.


16 College

Buses operate along their regular route, stopping at the main entrance of Building C.

22 Crosstown

From Wednesday, September 23 until Tuesday, September 29, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Duckworth Street and Georgian Drive, then detour:

southward along Duckworth;
eastward along the Ring Road;
north- and eastward along President’s Drive,
ending their trip at their regular stop at the main entrance of Building C.

Westbound buses reverse this routing.

10 Livingstone
20 RVH

From Wednesday, September 23 until Tuesday, September 29, buses do not enter the campus and stop only on Georgian Drive at the north main entrance.

18 St. Vincent

Buses operate along their regular route, stopping at the main entrance of Building C.
