Toronto Transit Commission meets Thursday



The Toronto Transit Commission meets this Thursday, September 24 in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 100 Queen Street West.

Among other items, the Commission will consider staff reports recommending that the Commission approve:

  • the 2010 - 2014 capital program and 10-year budget forecast, proposing spending of $1.1 billion on capital projects next year, about $200 million more than this year’s $800 million budget. The additional funds will pay for part of the project to extend the Spadina leg of the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway and the Transit City light rail projects. You can read the report here.   • the philosophy for designing and building stations on the future subway between the Vaughan Corporate Centre and Downsview Station, extending the Spadina leg of the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina line. You can read the report here. (.pdf)
