McLaughlin construction affects Brampton buses tonight



Tonight, Friday, October 9, the Region of Peel is completely closing McLaughlin Road North between Denison Avenue and Queen Street West for its ongoing project to install watermains.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses operating along the 1 Queen and 3 McLaughlin routes.

3 McLaughlin

From 8 p.m. on Friday, October 9 until 5 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, southbound buses operate along their regular routes to McLaughlin Road North and Denison Avenue, then detour:

eastward along Denison;
southward along Haggert Avenue North; and then
westward along Queen Street West to McLaughlin,
resuming their regular route southward along McLaughlin Road South.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops on McLaughlin Road North opposite Denison Avenue, at Horwood Drive and north of Queen Street West.

Northbound buses reverse this routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops on McLaughlin Road North at Dusty Lane and Denison Avenue.

From 8 p.m. on Friday, October 9 until 5 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to to McLaughlin Road North and Denison Avenue, then detour:

eastward along Denison;
southward along Haggert Avenue North; and then
westward along Queen Street West to McLaughlin,
resuming their regular route southward along McLaughlin Road South.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops on McLaughlin Road North opposite Denison Avenue, at Horwood Drive and north of Queen Street West and on Queen West east of McLaughlin and opposite Mercer Drive.

Westbound buses operate along their regular route.

Work on the project has delayed buses operating along the two routes since Tuesday, September 1. Construction likely continues until Sunday, November 15.
