Starting Monday, October 19, some Mississauga Transit buses leave their home turf to serve passengers traveling between Oakville Transit’s Uptown Core Terminal and the TTC’s 2 Bloor - Danforth subway. Buses serving limited stops along the new 101 Oakville express route operate Mondays to Fridays only during rush hours. MT is also revising other routes and services that day.
The changes affect these routes: 23 Lakeshore; 32 Lisgar GO shuttle; 34 Credit Valley; 42 Derry, 46 Tenth Line, 49 McDowell; 49A McDowell - Streetsville GO; 70 Keaton; 101 Oakville express; 201 Dundas express.
Specifically, Mississauga Transit is: introducing a new route; increasing service along current routes; decreasing service along current routes; and adjusting the schedules of current routes.
Also, all buses operating on the 39 Britannia and 66 McLaughlin routes are accessible for people using wheelchairs, ramps and other mobility devices, starting Monday, October 19.
Introducing a new route
101 Oakville express
Starting Monday, October 19, Mississauga Transit buses operate along a new limited-stop route linking Oakville Transit’s Uptown Core Terminal, the University of Toronto’s Mississauga campus and the TTC’s 2 Bloor - Danforth subway. Buses operate Mondays to Fridays only during rush hours.
Eastbound buses start their trips in the Uptown Core Terminal and proceed:
southward along Taunton Road;
eastward along Hays Boulevard;
northward along Trafalgar Road;
eastward along Dundas Street East Oakville and Dundas Street West Mississauga;
northward along Mississauga Road;
eastward along Outer Road into the Mississauga Campus of the University of Toronto;
north- and westward along Inner Road through the campus;
southward along Mississauga Road;
eastward along Dundas Streets West and East Mississauga and Dundas Street West Toronto;
southward along Islington Avenue;
westward along Bloor Street West into Islington Station, ending their trips.Eastbound buses stop only at Hyde Park Gate, Winston Churchill Boulevard, Erin Mills Parkway, U of T Mississauga, Glengarry Road, opposite Wolfedale Road, Mavis Road, Hurontario Street, Cawthra Road, opposite Tomken Road, Dixie Road, east of East Mall Crescent and Aukland Road just north of Kipling Station.
In the near future, eastbound buses will also stop at Postridge Drive, Eighth Line, Prince Michael and Meadow Ridge Drives.
Eastbound buses operate between Uptown Core and Islington Station every 19 to 20 minutes from 5:35 until 8:07 a.m. and from 2:26 until 5:46 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. They also operate every 19 to 20 minutes between the Uptown Core and U of T Mississauga only from 8:28 until 9:08 a.m. and from 6:06 until 6:56 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
Passengers traveling eastbound from stops between Hyde Park Gate and Erin Mills Parkway can choose between the limited-stop express service on buses operating along the 101 Oakville express route or local service to all stops on buses operating along the 1 Dundas route. Passengers traveling eastbound from U of T Mississauga can choose between the limited-stop express service on buses operating along the 101 Oakville express route or local service to all stops on buses operating along the 1C Dundas - Collegeway route. Passengers traveling eastbound from Glengarry Road can choose between the limited-stop express service on buses operating along the 101 Oakville express and 201 Dundas express routes or local buses to all stops operating along the 1 / 1C Dundas route. (Together, buses operating along the two limited-stop express routes serve passengers every 10 minutes at the express stops east of Glengarry Road.)
Westbound buses start their trips at Islington Station, then proceed:
westward along Bloor Street West, Dundas Street West Toronto and Dundas Streets East and West Mississauga;
northward along Mississauga Road;
eastward along Outer Road into the Mississauga Campus of the University of Toronto;
north- and westward along Inner Road through the campus;
southward along Mississauga Road;
westward along Dundas Street West Mississauga and Dundas Street East Oakville;
southward along Trafalgar Road;
westward along Hays Boulevard; and then
northward along Taunton Road into Uptown Core Terminal, ending their trips.Westbound buses stop only opposite Green Lanes, at Aukland Road just north of Kipling Station, Billingham Road just east of East Mall Crescent, Dixie, Tomken and Cawthra Roads, Hurontario Street, Mavis, Wolfedale and Erindale Station Roads, U of T Mississauga, Erin Mills Parkway and Winston Churchill and Vega Boulevards.
In the near future, westbound buses will also stop opposite Meadow Ridge and Prince Michael Drives, at Eighth Line and opposite Postridge Drive.
Westbound buses operate every 19 to 20 minutes only between Erindale Station Road and the Uptown Core Terminal from 4:59 until 6:51 a.m. and from 1:30 until 3:45 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. They also operate every 19 to 20 minutes between Islington Station and Uptown Core from 6:40 until 7:59 a.m. and from 3:30 until 6:13 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. MT buses also operate two more westbound trips between Islington Station and U of T Mississauga at 6:34 and 6:54 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
Passengers traveling westbound east of Erindale Station Road can choose between limited-stop express buses operating along the 101 Oakville express and 201 Dundas express routes or local buses to all stops operating along the 1 / 1C Dundas route. (Together, buses operating along the two limited-stop express routes serve passengers every 10 minutes at the express stops east of Erindale Station Road.) Passengers traveling westbound between Erindale Station Road and U of T Mississauga can choose between limited-stop express buses operating along the 101 Oakville express route or local buses serving all stops operating along the 1C Dundas - Collegeway route. Passengers traveling westbound between Erin Mills Parkway and Vega Boulevard can choose between limited-stop express buses operating along the 101 Oakville express route or local buses serving all stops operating along the 1 Dundas route.

Increasing service along current routes
34 Credit Valley
Starting Sunday, October 25, Mississauga Transit operates a new eastbound bus along the route. The bus leaves Erin Mills Town Centre at 9:49 p.m. Sundays and holidays.
70 Keaton
Starting Monday, October 19, Mississauga Transit operates a new eastbound bus leaving Matheson Boulevard and Hurontario Street at 3:10 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
32 Lisgar GO shuttle
Starting Monday, October 19, Mississauga Transit operates a new southbound bus along the route. The bus leaves Lisgar GO Station at 6:17 p.m. Mondays to Fridays
MT is also adjusting the schedule for the route.
49A McDowell - Streetsville GO
Starting Monday, October 19, Mississauga Transit operates a new eastbound bus along the route. The bus leaves Thomas Street and Ninth Line at 6:11 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. It arrives at Streetsville GO Station at 6:29 p.m. (The bus that currently leaves Thomas and Ninth Line 6:11 p.m. operates along the main 49 route to Erin Mills Town Centre.)
MT also operates a new westbound trip leaving Streetsville GO Station at 6:33 p.m. and arriving at Thomas Street and Ninth Line at 6:50 p.m. (The bus that currently arrives at Thomas and Ninth Line at 6:50 p.m. operates along the main 49 route from Erin Mills Town Centre.)
Decreasing service along current routes
201 Dundas express
Since buses operating along the new 101 Oakville express route provide more limited-stop express service along Dundas Streets East and West between Glengarry Road / Erindale Station Road and Islington Station, starting Monday, October 10, Mississauga Transit is decreasing service along the route.
From about 7 until 8:15 a.m. and from about 3:30 until 6 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, MT decreases service from about every 5 to 9 minutes to about every 15 minutes. Together Mississauga Transit buses operating along routes 101 and 201, offers eastbound passengers traveling to and from express stops along Dundas between Glengarry Road and Islington Station limited-stop service every 10 minutes Mondays to Fridays only during rush hours. The two routes offer westbound passengers traveling to and from express stops along Dundas Street between Islington Station and Erindale Station Road limited-stop service every 10 minutes Mondays to Fridays only during rush hours.
49 McDowell
Starting Monday, October 19, the eastbound bus that currently leaves Thomas Street at Ninth Line at 6:11 p.m. Mondays to Fridays operates along the 49A branch to Streetsville GO Station.
The westbound bus that currently leaves Erin Mills Town Centre at 6:33 p.m. Mondays to Fridays operates along the 49A branch from Streetsville GO Station.
Adjusting the schedules of current routes
42 Derry
Starting Monday, October 19, the eastbound bus that currently leaves Meadowvale Town Centre at 12:32 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves one minute later at 12:33 p.m. to help passengers connect with the southbound bus operating along the 66 McLaughlin route at Derry Road West and McLaughlin Road.
23 Lakeshore
Starting Monday, October 19, the westbound bus that currently leaves Port Credit GO Station at 1:34 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves at 1:40 a.m. to meet a southbound bus operating along the 19 Hurontario route.
32 Lisgar GO shuttle
Starting Monday, October 19, the southbound buses that currently leave Lisgar GO Station at 5:24, 5:45, 6:06, 6:32 and 7:06 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leave at 5:22, 5:42, 6:02, 6:37 and 7:02 p.m.
MT is also increasing service along the route.
49 McDowell
49A McDowell - Streetsville GO
Starting Monday, October 19, the eastbound bus that currently leaves Ninth Line and Thomas Street at 6:11 p.m. Mondays to Fridays operates along the 49A branch to Streetsville GO Station instead of the main 49 route to Erin Mills Town Centre. The westbound bus that currently leaves Erin Mills Town Centre at 6:33 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves Streetsville GO Station at the same time. The bus operates along the 49A branch instead of the main 49 route.
46 Tenth Line
Starting Monday, October 19, the northbound bus that currently leave Erin Mills Town Centre at 5:54 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves two minutes earlier at 5:52 p.m. The southbound bus that currently leaves Lisgar GO Station at 6:20 p.m. leaves two minutes later at 6:22 p.m.
