TTC detours buses at Old Weston Road / St. Clair,
October 16 to 20



Update — October 20: The intersection re-opened to traffic before noon today. Buses operating along the 127 Davenport and 168 Symington routes resumed regular service. Buses operating along the 41 Keele route continued to detour.


Update — October 18, 4:23 p.m.: The TTC has revised the detour for southbound buses operating along the 41 Keele route.


The City of Toronto and the TTC are closing the intersection of Old Weston Road and St. Clair Avenue West this weekend during the ongoing project to improve the streetcar service along St. Clair Avenue West.

They previously closed parts of the intersection during the weekend of August 21 to 24 and the weekend of September 11 to 15.


127 Davenport

From 6 a.m. on Friday, October 16 until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, eastbound buses start their trips at Old Weston Road and St. Clair Avenue West, then detour:

eastward along St. Clair West; and then
southward along Ford Street to Davenport Road,
resuming their regular route eastward along Davenport.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stop at Townsley Loop (on the west side of Old Weston Road just north of St. Clair Avenue West), on Old Weston just south of St. Clair West and on Davenport Road just east of Old Weston.

Westbound buses operate along their regular route to Old Weston Road and St. Clair Avenue West, ending their trips.

Westbound buses skip their stop at Townsley Loop.

The Toronto Marathon on the morning of Sunday, October 18 also affects service along the 127 Davenport route.

41 Keele

From 6 a.m. on Friday, October 16 until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, southbound buses operate along their regular route.

Update — October 18, 4:23 p.m.: Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Keele Street and Rogers Road, then detour:

westward along Rogers; and then
southward along Weston Road and Keele Street to St. Clair Avenue West,
resuming their regular route southward along Keele.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops on Rogers Road east of Keele Street and opposite Scott Road and on Old Weston Road south of Rogers and at Lavender Road, Turnberry Avenue, opposite Rockwell Avenue and at St. Clair Avenue West.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Keele Street and St. Clair Avenue West, then detour:

northward along Keele and Weston Road; and then
eastward along Rogers Road to Keele,
resuming their regular route northward along Keele.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops on Old Weston Road north of St. Clair Avenue West and at Rockwell, Turnberry and Kane Avenues and Rogers Road and on Rogers at Scott Road.

Buses operate along their regular route through the construction zone.

168 Symington

From 6 a.m. on Friday, October 16 until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Rogers and Old Weston Roads, then detour:

eastward along Rogers;
southward along Caledonia and Caledonia Park Roads; and then
westward along Davenport Road to Symington Avenue,
resuming their regular route southward along Symington.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops on Old Weston Road south of Rogers Road and at Lavender Road, Turnberry Avenue, opposite Rockwell Avenue and at St. Clair Avenue Westjust south of St. Clair West and on Davenport Road just east of Old Weston.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Symington Avenue and Davenport Road, then detour:

eastward along Davenport;
northward along Caledonia Park Road; and then
westward along St. Clair Avenue West to Old Weston Road,
resuming their regular route northward along Old Weston Road.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop on Davenport Road at Old Weston Road.


This work at Old Weston Road and St. Clair Avenue West is a key part of Phase 4 of the ongoing City of Toronto and TTC project to build a dedicated light rail right-of-way along St. Clair. You can read more about the project here and here.
