Mississauga Transit detours buses at Streetsville railway crossing, starting October 19



Starting tomorrow, Monday, October 19, a Canadian Pacific Railway construction project on the Galt Subdivision closes Queen Street South (Mississauga Road) between Thomas Street and Erin Centre Boulevard in Streetsville. (The Galt Subdivision tracks carry GO Transit trains serving stations along the 21 Milton line.)

Mississauga Transit is detouring buses operating along the 9 Rathburn - Miller’s Grove, 44 Mississauga Road, 305 Streetsville Secondary - Falconer and 306 Streetsville Secondary - Square One routes while the railway crossing is closed.


44 Mississauga Road

From 9 a.m. on Monday, October 19 until 4 p.m. on Friday, October 23, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Queen Street South (Mississauga Road) and Tannery Street, then detour:

westward along Tannery;
southward along Joymar Drive;
westward along Thomas Street;
southward along Erin Mills Parkway; and then
eastward along Erin Centre Boulevard to Queen Street South / Mississauga Road,
resuming their regular route southward along Mississauga.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops on Queen Street South at Main Street, Barry Avenue, Beech Street, Old Station Road, Reid Drive and Erin Centre Boulevard.

Northbound buses reverse the routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops on Queen Street South at Reid Drive, Beech and Old Pine and Tannery Streets.

9 Rathburn - Miller’s Grove

From 9 a.m. on Monday, October 19 until 4 p.m. on Friday, October 23, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Vista Drive and Thomas Street, then detour:

westward along Thomas;
southward along Erin Mills Parkway; and then
eastward along Erin Centre Boulevard to Queen Street South / Mississauga Road,
resuming their regular route southward along Mississauga.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops on Thomas Street at Hillside, Joymar and Emby Drives and Queen Street South and on Queen South at Barry Avenue, Beech Street, Old Station Road, Reid Drive and Erin Centre Boulevard.

Northbound buses reverse this routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops on Queen Street South at Reid Drive, Beech and Old Pine Streets and on Thomas Street at Victoria Street, Joymar and Gaffney Drives.

305 Streetsville Secondary - Falconer

Southbound buses operate along their regular route.

From 9 a.m. on Monday, October 19 until 4 p.m. on Friday, October 23, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Joymar Drive and Thomas Street, then detour:

westward along Thomas;
southward along Erin Mills Parkway; and then
eastward along Erin Centre Boulevard to Queen Street South / Mississauga Road,
resuming their regular route southward along Mississauga.

Northbound buses skip their stops on Thomas Street at Queen Street South and on Queen South at Barry Avenue, Beech Street, Old Station Road, Reid Drive and Erin Centre Boulevard.

306 Streetsville Secondary - Square One

From 9 a.m. on Monday, October 19 until 4 p.m. on Friday, October 23, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Joymar Drive and Thomas Street, then detour:

westward along Thomas;
southward along Erin Mills Parkway; and then
eastward along Erin Centre Boulevard to Queen Street South / Mississauga Road,
resuming their regular route southward along Mississauga.

Southbound buses skip their stops on Thomas Street at Queen Street South and on Queen South at Barry Avenue, Beech Street, Old Station Road, Reid Drive and Erin Centre Boulevard.
