The Toronto Transit Commission holds its monthly meeting tomorrow, Thursday, October 28 at 1 p.m., Committee Room 1, second floor, City Hall, 100 Queen Street West, Toronto.
Among several other items, the Commission will discuss reports from TTC staff recommending that the Commission approve:
- buying land from York University that the TTC needs for its project to extend the Spadina leg of the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
- a proposal to lease a warehouse near Downsview Park to temporarily store equipment while the TTC repairs and replaces its building on Davenport Road. (You can read the staff report here (.pdf))
- the Chief General Manager’s report on revenue and expenses for the period August 2 to 29, 2009 detailing revenue and expenses and again predicting a budget shortfall for the rest of 2009, just as he predicted at September’s meeting. (You can read the report here. (.pdf))

- buying 95 forty-foot low-floor diesel buses from Daimler Buses (North America) Limited. (If the Commission approves, Daimler would deliver 30 Orion VII NG buses in 2011 and 65 more in 2012.) (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
