This weekend we catch up on some recent news stories.
At its meeting on Thursday, October 29, the Toronto Transit Commission approved and amended the TTC’s 2010 - 2014 capital program to make it more affordable under the City of Toronto’s new debt targets.
The Commissioners approved reducing the TTC’s $848 million shortfall over 10 years to $300 million by deferring more than 40 improvements and expansion projects.
They also approved the conceptual design for the new Steeles West subway station and agreed to buy 95 low-floor, clean-diesel buses.
