TTC further limits the number of tokens you can buy

So many people are wanting to buy transit tokens before fares increase in the New Year, that the TTC is now limiting passengers to buying just five at a time.

This reduces the 10-token limit that the TTC only announced on Friday. You can still buy five tokens from all collector booths in rapid transit stations and just one from token vending machines at automatic entrances where no collector is on duty. If a collector runs out of tokens, the fare will be $2.75 cash.

At its meeting on Tuesday, November 17, the Toronto Transit Commission will consider a staff report recommending that fares increase on Sunday, January 3.
