GTA West transportation study open houses,
November 30, December 3, 8, 10

Since 2007, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation been studying the long-term transportation needs of the western part of the Greater Toronto Area to help plan for future infrastructure needs.

The Ministry has started a formal environmental assessment process to examine how to better link urban growth centres in the west GTA, including downtown Guelph, downtown Milton, the Brampton city centre and the Vaughan corporate centre.

The study reviews ways to move goods and people through the area by 2031, including highways, railways — and public transit.

Over the next two weeks, the Ministry is hosting four open houses, where you can review and comment on its plans for the area. The events take place from 4 until 8 p.m. on November 30 and December 3, 8 and 10.
