Hamilton City Council recently approved increasing Hamilton Street Railway fares, starting Friday, January 1, 2010.
Cash fares for adults increases to $2.55 from $2.40. The cost of adult tickets jumps to $2 from $1.85. (You can buy five tickets for $10, instead of five for $9.25.) Monthly passes rise to $87 from $79.
