A Town of Whitby construction project to install watermains on Burns Street East, west of Hopkins Street recently ended and Durham Region Transit buses operating along the 304 Anderson service have resumed their regular route.

This project and related projects in the area of Burns and Hopkins Streets have required DRT to detour buses operating along the route at various times since Monday, September 22, 2008. The latest detours started on Monday, October 19, 2009.

One phase of construction at the Rouge Valley Health System’s Ajax Hospital recently ended so that Durham Region Transit buses operating along Flag Bus Routes 1 and 2 and the Sunday Flag Bus route could resume service to the hospital’s western entrance off Centennial Road.

Buses have been dropping off and picking up passengers at the eastern entrance off Harwood Avenue South since Monday, February 18, 2008.
