The City of Brampton is closing

• Main Streets North and South between Nelson Street West / Theatre Lane and Wellington Street,
• Queen Streets East and West between Chapel Street / Theatre Lane and George Street and
• Wellington Street West between George and Main Streets South

from 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 31 until 4 a.m. on Friday, January 1 to accommodate the festivities.

Brampton Transit and GO Transit are detouring bus services during the event.

Brampton Transit

1 Main

After 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Main Street North and Nelson Street West, then detour:

westward along Nelson West, stopping on the street beside, but not in, the Downtown Brampton Transit Terminal;
southward along McMurchy Avenues North and South; and then
eastward along Harold Street to Main South,
resuming their regular route southward along Main.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops on Main Street North at Queen Street and on Main South at Wellington Street, opposite Woodbrook Drive and at Clarence Street.

Northbound buses reverse the routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops on Main Street South at Clarence and Guest Streets, Woodbrook Drive, Wellington and John Streets and on Main North north of Queen Street and at Theatre Lane.

GO Transit

GO buses do not operate to the Downtown Brampton Terminal after 2 p.m. Buses pick up and drop off passengers temporary terminal at Church Street and Main Street North, beside the Brampton GO (train) Station.

33A Brampton - York Mills

After 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, eastbound buses start their trips on Church Street West, west of Main Street North, then proceed:

westward along Church West;
southward along Mill Street North;
westward along Queen Street West;
southward along McMurchy Avenue South; and then
eastward along Charolais Boulevard to Main South,
resuming their regular route southward along Main.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops at the Downtown Brampton Terminal and on Main Street South between Wellington Street and Charolais Boulevard.

Westbound buses reverse this routing.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops on Main Street South between Charolais Boulevard and Wellington Street, on Wellington Street West and at the Downtown Brampton Terminal.

ending their trips.

33B Georgetown - York Mills
