"Security threat" at Pape Station disrupts subway service



Update — January 9, 5:36 p.m.: According to CP 24 news, investigators aren’t saying why they closed the station, but the investigation is ongoing.

Police officers thoroughly searched the station before allowing passengers back into the station around 1 a.m.


Update — 1:11 a.m.: Regular service has resumed.


Toronto Police Service officers and TTC staff have evacuated Pape Station because of a “security threat”.

The TTC is turning back trains operating along the 2 Bloor - Danforth line at Broadview and Woodbine Stations. Shuttle buses are operating between those two stations.

Passengers should plan on adding extra time to their trips.
