Update — 10:24 p.m.: The planner is no longer available without a password.
According to CBC News, TTC staff were still working on the site and needed to remove security features while testing it. That made the site temporarily available to everyone. The TTC removed general access to the public about 12:45 p.m. today.

A report by Matthew Blackett in Spacing Toronto reveals that the TTC expects to launch its long-awaited online trip planner some time during the next week.
However, a text-messaging system that lets passengers receive information on their cellphones to learn when the next bus or streetcar will arrive, won’t be available until at least the end of the year.

York Region Transit unveiled its “RideNow” real-time information system, providing passengers with “next-bus” information on the web, by phone and by e-mail last week.
