TTC detours buses during Bay / Bloor construction,
May 28 to 31



The City again closes the intersection of Bay Street and Bloor Street West for more work on this project from Friday, August 9 until Monday, August 11.


The City of Toronto is closing

  • Bay Street between Bloor and Charles Streets West

this weekend as part of the ongoing City / Bloor - Yorkville Business Improvement Area project to upgrade the streetscape along Bloor Street West between Avenue Road / Queen’s Park and Church Street.

The TTC is detouring bus service while Bay Street is closed.

6 Bay

From 7 p.m. on Friday, May 28 until 5 a.m. on Monday, May 31, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay Street and Yorkville Avenue, then detour:

eastward along Yorkville;
southward along Yonge Street; and then
westward along Charles Street West to Bay,
resuming their regular route southward along Bay.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop on Bay Street at Bay Station, just north of Bloor Street West.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay and St. Mary Street, then detour:

eastward along St. Mary,
northward along Yonge Street; and then
westward along Yorkville Avenue to Bay,
resuming their regular route northward along Bay.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops on Bay Street at Charles Street West, at Bay Station, just north of Bloor Street West, and at Yorkville Avenue.


On Sunday, May 30 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., passengers should also expect detours on Bay Street at Richmond Street West during the Walk for Values.
