City closes Gardiner Expressway overnight, June 13 to 14

The City of Toronto is closing the Frederick G. Gardiner Expressway between Carlaw Avenue and the Humber River overnight from the evening of Sunday, June 13 until the morning of Monday, June 14.

The City is closing:

  • the eastbound lanes from Sunday, June 13 at 9 p.m. until Monday, June 14 at 5 a.m.; and
  • the westbound lanes from Sunday, June 13 at 8 p.m. until Monday, June 14 at 1 a.m.

As part of the ongoing City project to repair the bridges across the expressway at Jameson, City work crews are re-opening three lanes of traffic at bridges and continuing maintenance work on the elevated section of the roadway. Working overnight increases the safety for workers.
