Part 1 of the post describes how the TTC is: introducing a new route; canceling branches of current routes; increasing service along current routes; and decreasing service along current routes.

This part of the post describes how the TTC is: along current routes; decreasing the frequency of service along current routes; revising a current route; and decreasing seasonal service to beaches, parks and attractions.

Increasing the frequency of service along current routes

39G Finch East (Old Finch - Finch Station)

The TTC is reorganizing service along Finch Avenue East, canceling some local and express branches of the 39 Finch East route and introducing new express service between Finch and Scarborough Centre Stations along the 199 Finch rocket route.

Starting Tuesday, October 12, it’s increasing the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours.

Buses serve each stop along the route every 14 minutes, instead of every 15 minutes.

The TTC is also decreasing the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours.

Mondays to Fridays during rush hours, every fourth bus operating along the 39F branch continues eastward beyond Neilson Road to Old Finch Avenue.

129 McCowan North

Starting Tuesday, October 12, the TTC increases the frequency of service along the route north of Steeles Avenue East Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours.

Buses serve each stop along the route north of Steeles every 15 minutes, instead of every 17 minutes.

The TTC is also decreasing the frequency of service along other parts of the route and at other times of the day.

168 Symington

The TTC is increasing the frequency of service along the route early Saturday evenings.

Starting Saturday, October 16, buses serve each stop along the route every 10 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes from about 6 until 7:30 p.m. Saturdays.

106 York University

The TTC’s increasing the frequency of service by operating one more bus along the route Sunday-and-holiday evenings.

Starting Sunday, October 10, buses serve each stop along the route every 15 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, Sundays and holidays after 7 p.m.

Decreasing the frequency of service along current routes

39 Finch East (Seneca College - Finch Station)

The TTC is reorganizing service along Finch Avenue East, canceling some local and express branches of the 39 Finch East route and introducing new express service between Finch and Scarborough Centre Stations along the 199 Finch rocket route.

Starting Tuesday, October 12, it’s decreasing the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours.

Buses operate westbound only during morning rush hours, serving each stop along the route every 7 minutes, instead of every 5 minutes.

Passengers traveling to and from Seneca can also travel on buses operating along the new 199 Finch rocket route, with just a few stops between Finch Station and the college, Mondays to Fridays before 10 p.m. and Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Buses return eastbound to Seneca College’s Newnham Campus along the 39F express branch during morning rush hours.

The TTC is also increasing service along the route by introducing new service Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours.

39F Finch East express (Seneca College - Finch Station)

The TTC is reorganizing service along Finch Avenue East, canceling some local and express branches of the 39 Finch East route and introducing new express service between Finch and Scarborough Centre Stations along the 199 Finch rocket route.

Starting Tuesday, October 12, it’s operating buses less frequently along the route Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours.

Buses operate eastbound only during morning rush hours, serving each stop along the route every 7 minutes, instead of every 5 minutes.

Passengers traveling to and from Seneca can also travel on buses operating along the new 199 Finch rocket route, with just a few stops between Finch Station and the college, Mondays to Fridays before 10 p.m. and Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Buses return westbound to Finch Station along the 39 local branch - meaning the buses serve all stops — during morning rush hours.

The TTC is also increasing service along the route by introducing new service Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours.

39G Finch East (Old Finch - Finch Station)

The TTC is reorganizing service along Finch Avenue East, canceling some local and express branches of the 39 Finch East route and introducing new express service between Finch and Scarborough Centre Stations along the 199 Finch rocket route.

Starting Tuesday, October 12, it’s decreasing the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours.

Buses serve each stop along the route every 13½ minutes, instead of every 9 minutes.

The TTC is also increasing the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours.

Mondays to Fridays during rush hours, every fourth bus operating along the 39F branch continues eastward beyond Neilson Road to Old Finch Avenue.

129 McCowan North

The TTC is introducing express service along McCowan Road between Finch Avenue East and Scarborough Centre Station by operating buses along the new 199 Finch rocket route. The buses operate Mondays to Fridays before 10 p.m. and Saturdays from about 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Since passengers are gaining frequent express service at most times of the week, the TTC’s decreasing the frequency of service along the 129 McCowan North route.

Starting Tuesday, October 12, buses serve each stop along the route south of Steeles Avenue East every 4½ minutes, instead of every 4 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours. They serve each stop along the route north of Steeles every 13½ minutes, instead of every 12 minutes.

Buses serve each stop along the route south of Steeles every 5 minutes, instead of every 4 minutes 15 seconds, during afternoon rush hours. North of Steeles, however, the TTC is increasing the frequency of service during afternoon rush hours.

Revising a current route

139 Finch - Don Mills

The TTC is revising the route as it reorganizes services along Finch Avenue East.

Starting Tuesday, October 12, west- and southbound buses operate along their former route to Finch Avenue East and Highway 404, then proceed:

westward along Finch East;
southward along Don Mills Road; and then
eastward into Don Mills Station terminal,
ending their trips.

Westbound buses drop off and pick up passengers on Finch at Seneca College’s Newnham Campus, then continue express - without stopping - to Don Mills Station.

Buses no longer operate along Highway 404 and Sheppard Avenue East.

North- and eastbound buses continue along the same route as they did formerly.

Buses continue to operate every 14 minutes Mondays to Fridays only during rush hours.
