TTC detours buses during Cherry Street bridge repairs,
December 3 and 4



The Toronto Port Authority is maintaining the lift bridge on Cherry Street, south of Lake Shore Boulevard East today, Friday, December 3 and tomorrow, Saturday, December 4 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along the 72A Pape via Commissioners route, while the bridge is out of service.

72A Pape via Commissioners

From 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4, south- and westbound buses (toward Union Station) operate along their regular route to Cherry and Villiers Streets, then detour:

eastward along Villiers;
southward along Munition Street;
westward along Commissioners Street;
northward along Don Roadway; and then
westward along Lake Shore Boulevard West to Cherry Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Cherry.

South- and westbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Cherry Street at Lake Shore Boulevard East.

East- and northbound buses (toward Donlands Station) operate along their regular route to Cherry Street and Lake Shore Boulevard East, then detour:

eastward along Lake Shore East;
southward along Don Roadway;
westward along Commissioners Street;
northward along Munition Street; and then
westward along Villiers Street to Cherry,
resuming their regular route southward along Cherry.

East and northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Cherry Street south of Lake Shore Boulevard East.

Buses in both directions pick up and drop off passengers eastbound along Commissioners Street across from #150 Commissioners and at Don Roadway.
