Less GO bus service to universities, starting December 6

As the fall academic term winds up, fewer passengers travel by transit to and from campuses. Local transit agencies are gradually decreasing extra service to colleges and universities.

First up: GO Transit decreases some of its bus services to and from McMaster University, the University of Guelph and York University after today, Friday, December 3.

It will further reduce services after next Friday, December 10. Many local transit agencies decrease or eliminate extra service to and from colleges and universities from Friday, December 24 until Monday, January 3, 2011.

GO is decreasing service along these routes: 47A McMaster - Bramalea, 47B McMaster - Square One express, 47E McMaster - Oakville, 48 U of Guelph - York U, 48B Meadowvale - York U.
