Queen / Coxwell track repairs mean bus, streetcar detours,
January 15 to 17



The TTC is repairing streetcar tracks in two places along Queen Street East near Coxwell Avenue — one section west of Coxwell Avenue and another west of Kingston Road next weekend, January 15 to 17.

It’s detouring buses operating along the 22A Coxwell via Kingston Rd and 322 Coxwell via Kingston Road overnight routes and streetcars operating along the 301 Queen overnight and 501 Queen routes. Shuttle buses replace the streetcars.

West- and northbound buses operate along their regular routes.

From 6:45 a.m. Saturday, January 15 until 5 a.m. Monday, January 17, south- and eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Queen Street East and Coxwell Avenue, then detour:

southward along Coxwell Avenue;
east- and northeastward along Eastern Avenue to Queen East,
resuming their regular route northeastward along Kingston Road.

South- and eastbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Queen Street East at Eastern Avenue.

501 Queen

From 6:45 a.m. Saturday, January 15 until 5 a.m. Monday, January 17, all streetcars start and end their trips at Queen Street East and Connaught Avenue (Russell Carhouse).

Shuttle buses replace the streetcars between Neville Park Loop and Greenwood Avenue.

Westbound cars pick up their first passengers at Queen Street East and Greenwood Avenue.

Westbound cars skip their regular stops

  • in Neville Park Loop,
  • on Queen Street East at Neville Park Boulevard, Silver Birch Avenue, Spruce Hill Road, Glen Manor Drive, Wineva Avenue, Lee Avenue, Waverly Road, Elmer and Woodbine Avenues, Lockwood and Kingston Roads, Coxwell Avenue, Kent Road and across from Connaught Avenue.

Eastbound cars drop off all passengers at Queen Street East and Greenwood Avenue, before entering the carhouse to turn around.

Eastbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on Queen Street East at Connaught, Woodward, Coxwell, Eastern, Sarah Ashbridge, Woodbine and Kippendavie Avenues, Waverly Road, Lee and Wineva Avenues, Scarborough Beach Boulevard, east of Glen Manor Drive (Sunday daytime only), Maclean, Beech and Silver Birch Avenues, Neville Park Boulevard and
  • in Neville Park Loop.
301 / 501 Queen shuttle buses

From 6:45 a.m. Saturday, January 15 until 5 a.m. Monday, January 17, buses replace streetcars operating along the 301 Queen overnight and 501 Queen routes streetcars between Neville Park Loop and Greenwood Avenue.

Westbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at stops

  • on Queen Street East at Neville Park Boulevard, Silver Birch Avenue, Spruce Hill Road, Glen Manor Drive, Wineva Avenue, Lee Avenue, Waverly Road, Elmer and Woodbine Avenues, Lockwood and Kingston Roads, Coxwell Avenue, Kent Road and across from Connaught Avenue.
