TTC detours buses during Beaches watermain repairs,
starting January 17

Update — February14, 10:56 a.m.: Construction has ended and buses have resumed regular service.

The City of Toronto is closing

  • Hambly Avenue between Williamson Road and Queen Street East

for about a month, starting Monday, January 17, while contractors repair the watermains beneath the street.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along the 64 Main route, while the roadway is closed.

Southbound buses operate along their regular route.

Starting Monday, January 17, northbound buses start their trips on Wineva Avenue at Queen Street East, then detour:

eastward along Queen East;
northward along Glen Manor Drive and Glen Manor Drive West; and then
westward along Williamson Road to Southwood Drive,
resuming their regular route northward along Southwood.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Hambly Avenue north of Queen Street East and at Williamson Road; and
  • on Williamson Road across from Southwood Drive.
