Construction at downtown Kitchener terminal again,
starting January 16



Grand River Transit is again revising service to and from the Charles Street Terminal in downtown Kitchener while contractors repair the roof.

The work closes one lane at a time inside the terminal. While each lane is closed, buses drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops on Charles Street beside or across from the terminal:

Sunday, January 16 only

GRT buses operating along the 3 Ottawa South, 4 Glasgow, 11 Country Hills, 22 Laurentian West, 23 Idlewood and 25 Victoria Hills routes detour to Charles Street.

Monday, January 17 until Wednesday, January 19

GRT buses operating along the iXpress (to Ainslie Street Terminal), 6 Bridgeport, 7 Mainline (to Fairview Terminal), 8 Fairview via Courtland and 8 University via Westmount routes detour to Charles Street.

Thursday, January 20

GRT buses operating along the 3 Ottawa South, 4 Glasgow, 11 Country Hills, 22 Laurentian West, 23 Idlewood and 25 Victoria Hills routes detour to Charles Street.

Monday, January 31 to Tuesday, February 1

GRT buses operating along the iXpress (to Ainslie Street Terminal), 6 Bridgeport, 7 Mainline (to Fairview Terminal), 8 Fairview via Courtland and 8 University via Westmount routes detour to Charles Street.

Friday, February 4 until Saturday, February 5

GRT buses operating along the iXpress (to Ainslie Street Terminal), 6 Bridgeport, 7 Mainline (to Fairview Terminal), 8 Fairview via Courtland and 8 University via Westmount routes detour to Charles Street.

Tuesday, February 8 only

GRT buses operating along the iXpress (to Ainslie Street Terminal), 6 Bridgeport, 7 Mainline (to Fairview Terminal), 8 Fairview via Courtland and 8 University via Westmount routes detour to Charles Street.


GRT previously closed parts of the terminal for the same project, starting Monday, October 25.
