No elevators this weekend at Pickering GO Station

GO Transit contractors continue work on improving the east tunnel and elevator lobby areas at Pickering GO Station this weekend.

Starting last night, Friday, December 21 until 5 a.m. on Monday, January 24, all elevators at the station are out of service. Passengers that need elevator access this weekend should board or exit trains at Ajax or Rouge Hill Stations.

This weekend’s work continues a project that GO originally started on Friday, December 3, 2010.

Contractors continue to work a longer-term projects at Pickering GO Station, including building a pedestrian bridge across Highway 401 between the station and the Pickering Town Centre and rebuilding the station building and bus platforms.
