Emergency water-main repairs disrupt YRT, TTC service
in Vaughan

Water mains burst yesterday at two locations in Vaughan.

York Region crews are working to repair the mains:

  • on Bathurst Street south of Highway 7 in Thornhill; and
  • on Keele Street, southbound lanes only, at Masters Avenue, north of Major Mackenzie Drive West, in Maple.

The emergency repair projects are affecting TTC and York Region Transit services.

Bathurst Street

Starting Monday, January 24, passengers on TTC buses operating along the 160 Bathurst North route and YRT buses operating along the Viva purple, 23 Thornhill Woods, 88 Bathurst routes should expect significant detours and delays during emergency watermain repairs. Plan on adding extra time to your trips.

(Extra buses operate along the Viva purple route between York University’s Keele Campus and Richmond Hill Centre Terminal only. Extra buses operate along the 23 Thornhill Woods route between Lebovic Drive and Finch GO Bus Terminal only.)

YRT staff will be on the street near the emergency repair project and at terminals to further help passengers.

Keele Street

Starting Monday, January 24, southbound passengers on TTC buses operating along the 107 Keele North route and YRT buses operating along the 4 / 4A Major Mackenzie and 22 / 22A King City routes should expect significant detours and delays. Plan on adding extra time to your trips.
