Crane blocks street, TTC buses detour, January 28, 29



Update — Sunday, January 30, 7:29 a.m.: The crane continues to block the street and buses continue to detour today.


The City of Toronto is closing:

  • Bay Street between Bloor and Charles Streets West

Friday evening and most of Saturday, while contractors hoist a crane onto a nearby building.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along the 6 Bay route while the street is closed.

6 Bay

From 7 p.m. on Friday, January 29 until 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay Street and Bloor Street West, then detour:

eastward along Bloor West;
southward along Balmuto Street; and then
westward along Charles Street West to Bay,
resuming their regular route southward along Bay.

Southbound buses serve all regular stops.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay Street and Charles Street West, then detour:

westward along Charles West;
northward along St. Thomas Street; and then
eastward along Bloor Street West to Bay,
resuming their regular route northward along Bay.

Northbound buses serve all regular stops.
