GO added service to Highway 407 East route today

This morning, Tuesday, February 1, GO Transit started operating eastbound express buses on two new trips along its Highway 407 East route. The buses operate along the new 51B branch of the route between York University’s Keele Campus and the University of Toronto’s Scarborough Campus.

The two extra buses leave York’s Harry W. Arthurs Commons at 7:05 and 7:35 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, then stop to pick up passengers on Keele Street at Great Gulf Drive (across from Snidercroft Road) at 7:09 and 7:39 a.m. They’llthen operate express — without stopping — to Centennial College’s Progress Campus, arriving at 7:35 and 8:10 a.m. The buses end their trips at U of T Scarborough at 7:45 and 8:20 a.m.

GO is operating the extra buses because more and more passengers are riding on buses operating along the Highway 407 East corridor.
