More on the agenda for transit commissioners

When the Toronto Transit Commission meets tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2, they’ll have more reports to discuss and consider than we reported in our January 29 post.

The TTC has now posted a supplementary agenda for the meeting, listing staff reports

  • revising the TTC’s plan to decrease service along 48 routes. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
  • responding to the requests from the City of Toronto’s budget committee about the Ashbridges Bay “light rail transit vehicle storage and maintenance facility” — or streetcar yard. Staff are recommending that the TTC start work on the project but also that staff investigate other places to store the cars, including the Hillcrest Yards and Exhibition Loop. (You can read the staff report responding the the budget committee here. (.pdf) You can read the staff report awarding a contract to prepare the Ashbridges site for construction here. (.pdf))
  • updating the commission on the TTC’s efforts in making its service accessible. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
