GO Transit buses and trains will continue to operate with special “severe-weather” schedules this afternoon.

GO is revising its schedules for the 01 Lakeshore West, 09 Lakeshore East and 31 Georgetown trains because of the severe weather.

(With the special severe-weather schedule, all trains operate along the 31 Georgetown route, except the trains that usually leave Bramalea GO Station at 5:55 and 7:30 a.m. and the train that usually leaves Union Station at 5:15 p.m. The train that usually leaves Union at 3:30 p.m. leaves ten minutes later at 3:40 p.m.)

For more information about the special “severe-weather” bus and train schedules, read Transit Toronto’s February 1 post.

Usually during harsh weather, GO adjusts its train schedule so that express trains make all stops. This limits the number of trains crossing over onto other tracks, reducing problems with switches and with snow and ice build-up. GO is also adjusting bus schedules so the buses meet trains operating on revised schedules as best as possible.
