Downtown Toronto water-main break diverts TTC buses

Update — February 19, 3:16 p.m.: Repairs have ended and buses have resumed their regular route.

Since early yesterday, Wednesday, February 16, TTC buses operating along the 65 Parliament route have been detouring around a City of Toronto emergency project to repair water mains on Front Street East at Princess Street.

The City expects the work to continue for several days.

During emergency watermain repairs, starting Wednesday, February 16, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Front Street East and Berkeley Street, then detour:

northward along Berkeley;
westward along King Street East;
southward along Sherbourne and Lower Sherbourne Streets; and then
eastward along The Esplanade to Princess Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along The Esplanade.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Princess Street south of Front Street East and at The Esplanade.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.
