Toronto Transit Commission meets, March 1

The Toronto Transit Commission is holding its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 1 at 1 p.m. in Committee Room 2, second floor, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West.

Among other items, the Commissioners will discuss staff reports:

  • recommending the Commission approve revising its contract with a private supplier for building the future Finch West Station. (The TTC has to redesign the original station proposal to enlarge the bus terminal and extend more roadways to the terminal to carry more buses. Since the original design expected light rail transit to operate along Finch Avenue, the new design must now accommodate the many buses that the TTC will require to replace the Etobicoke - Finch West LRT line.) You can read the staff report here. (.pdf)
  • recommending that the TTC change its policy on post-secondary student Metropass discounts. (Under the new policy, part-time students would no longer qualify for a discount, although some students at business or career colleges might.) You can read the staff report here. (.pdf)
