Did you ride a northbound TTC bus operating along the 55 Warren Park route around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2? If you did, the Toronto Police Service hopes you can help identify three men who may have witnessed events leading up to the shooting of 19-year-old Shane Williams that evening.

Last Wednesday evening, police officers answered a call resulting from the sound of gunshots near 4020 Dundas Street West. Upon arriving at the scene, they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body. Emergency crews took the man to hospital where he later died. The police have identified the man as Williams.

Mr. Williams previously rode the 2 Bloor - Danforth subway to Jane Station, where he boarded the bus. He sat in the rear section of the bus on the right side. He left the bus at 8:56 p.m. at Scarlett Road, moments before the shooting took place.

Police are seeking your help in identifying potential witnesses that were on the bus with the victim.
