Crane blocks street, MiWay detours buses, April 5



The City of Mississauga is closing:

  • Confederation Parkway, between Prince of Wales and Princess Royal Drives

tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Contractors are setting up a crane for a nearby construction project. MiWay is detouring buses operating along the 28 Confederation route, while the crane blocks the street.


28 Confederation

From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Rathburn Road West and Living Arts Drive, then detour:

southward along Living Arts; and then
westward along Burnhamthorpe Road West to Confederation Parkway,
resuming their regular route southward along Confederation.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Rathburn Road West at Living Arts Drive and
  • on Confederation Parkway south of Rathburn Road West, at Princess Royal Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road West.

Instead, southbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Living Arts Drive south of Rathburn Road West, at Princess Royal Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road West.

Northbound buses reverse the detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Confederation Parkway at Prince of Wales and Princess Royal Drives and Rathburn Road West and
  • on Rathburn Road West at Living Arts Drive.

Instead, northbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Living Arts Drive at City Centre Drive, across from Princess Royal Drive and at Rathburn Road West.
