Lakeshore West track work may delay GO trains,
starting April 21

Update — May 25, 9:03 a.m.: GO is continuing to upgrade the tracks throughout the summer, instead of just until the end of May.

Yesterday, Thursday, April 21, GO Transit started a construction project to replace the track ties and signals between Burlington and Long Branch GO Stations on the 01 Lakeshore West line.

The work may result in trains reducing speed through construction zones, or require GO operators to detour trains onto a single track. The work may delay your train trips by as much as ten minutes more than usual. may be required to travel at a reduced speed or may have to operate on a single track.

GO expects to finish the work in the summer. You can keep track of the project here.
