TTC repairs tracks at Queen / Victoria, detours streetcars,
April 30, May 1 and 2



The TTC is repairing the streetcar tracks at Queen Street East and Victoria Street this weekend and detouring cars operating along the 301 Queen overnight and 501 Queen routes.

All day Saturday, April 30, before 7 a.m. and after 10 a.m. Sunday, May 1 and until 4:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, westbound cars operate along their regular route to Queen Street East and Church Street, then detour:

southward along Church;
westward along Richmond Street West; and then
northward along York Street to Queen Street West,
resuming their regular route westward along Queen Street West.

All day Saturday, April 30, before 7 a.m. and after 10 a.m. Sunday, May 1 and until 4:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, westbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on Queen Street East at Victoria and Yonge Streets and
  • on Queen Street West at Bay Street and across from York Street.

From 7 until 10 a.m. Sunday, May 1, during the Sporting Life 10K, westbound cars operate along their regular route to Queen Street East and Church Street, then detour:

southward along Church;
westward along King Streets East and West; and then
northward along Spadina Avenue to Queen Street West,
resuming their regular route westward along Queen West.

From 7 until 10 a.m. Sunday, May 1, westbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on Queen Street East at Victoria and Yonge Streets,
  • on Queen Street West at Bay Street, across from York Street, at University Avenue, west of Simcoe Street, at McCaul, John and Soho Streets and Spadina Avenue.

Instead, westbound cars drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Church Street at Richmond, Adelaide and King Streets East,
  • on King Street East at Victoria and Yonge Streets,
  • on King Street West at Bay and York Streets, University Avenue, Simcoe, John and Peter Streets and Spadina Avenue and
  • on Spadina Avenue north of King Street West and at Richmond Street West.

All day Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 and before 4:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, eastbound cars operate along their regular route to Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue, then detour:

southward along Spadina;
eastward along King Streets West and East; and then
northward along Church Street to Queen Street East,
resuming their regular route northward along Queen East.

Eastbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on Queen Street West at Peter, John and Duncan Streets, University Avenue and York, Bay and Yonge Streets and
  • on Queen Street East at Victoria and Church Streets.

Instead, eastbound cars drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Spadina Avenue south of Queen Street West,
  • on King Street West at Blue Jays Way, John and Simcoe Streets, University Avenue and York, Bay and Yonge Streets,
  • on King Street East at Church Street and
  • on Church Street north of Lombard Street.
