Viva buses use York University busway, starting May 1

Starting tomorrow, Sunday, May 1, York Region Transit buses serving the Viva orange route operate along the York University busway.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers at the new Murray Ross and Dufferin - Finch vivastations, but no longer serve the Keele - Finch vivastations. By operating along the busway, Viva buses avoid the delays resulting from subway construction on Keele Street near Finch Avenue West.

New vivastation locations:
  • Murray Ross southbound vivastation: Southeast corner of Murray Ross Parkway and Jack Evelyn Wiggins Drive.
  • Murray Ross northbound vivastation: Northeast corner of Murray Ross Parkway and Jack Evelyn Wiggins Drive.
  • Dufferin - Finch southbound vivastation: Northwest corner of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West.
  • Dufferin - Finch northbound vivastation: Northeast corner of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West.

Viva orange buses continue to drop off customers at Downsview Station outside the fare-paid area. You must have a valid TTC fare to enter Downsview Station.
