Buses replace GO trains west of Appleby, early May 7

GO Transit contractors working on the project to build a pedestrian bridge at Burlington GO Station have reached the point where they must now lift the bridge deck into place. The work takes place between 1 and 4 a.m. Saturday, May 7.

As a result GO is closing the tracks at Burlington GO Station to train traffic early Saturday morning. The last train operating along the 01 Lakeshore West line, leaving Union Station at 12:43 a.m. Saturday is ending its trip at Appleby GO Station.

Buses will carry passengers further west to Burlington and Aldershot GO Stations.

GO originally scheduled this work for last weekend, early Saturday, April 30.
