Milliken GO Station construction restricts access to trains, starting May 9

Tomorrow, Monday, May 9, GO Transit contractors resume work on extending the south end of the platform at Milliken GO Station.

During the first week of construction, GO is closing the south half of the platform to passengers, restricting access to trains.

That means you can only board the first five coaches from the locomotive, if you’re traveling to and from Milliken.

At the end of the project, later this summer, the platform will have more lighting, and closed-circuit television cameras to increase security at the station. The longer platform also sets the stage for GO to accommodate 12-car trains in the future.

GO started the project in late November, but waited until winter ended before it could continue.
