Crane restricts access to GO trains at Union Station,
starting May 10

As part of GO Transit’s ongoing project to upgrade the train-shed roof at Union Station, GO contractors started today, Tuesday, May 10, to build a tower crane in the VIA Rail departures concourse. They’ll be using the crane for building the modern glass atrium.

For about six weeks, GO is restricting access between Platform 26-27 and the Great Hall, Front Street and the GO Concourse and you may have to use another route within the station to get to and from trains. This crane will be in place for the rest of the project, which GO expects to complete in 2015.
