Construction at Langstaff GO Station
restricts passenger access, starting May 24

Starting Tuesday, May 24, GO Transit start to extend the north end of the platform at Langstaff GO Station, restricting access to parts of the platform.

During the work, GO staff will not open the doors of first four coaches from the locomotive and passengers will only have access to the six south-end coaches of the train starting with the accessible coach, the fifth coach from the locomotive.

The contractors are also installing at a more lighting, a public-address system and closed-circuit television cameras to increase security. Construction takes place Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

When they finish in the summer, the longer platforms will set the stage for GO to accommodate 12-car train service in the future.
