Queen / Dufferin bridge work delays GO trains, May 24

Late last year, the City of Toronto finished building an underpass to carry Dufferin Street traffic below the GO Transit rail corridor at Queen Street West. During the work, contractors shifted a section of tracks. This weekend, GO plans to take advantage of the warmer dry weather to move this section of tracks back into position.

As is the case with most significant work affecting railway tracks, trains must temporarily operate at slower speeds across the newly replaced tracks. GO will reduce the speed of all trains serving the 21 Milton, 31 Georgetown and 65 Barrie lines all day Tuesday, May 24. Trains may be as much as ten minutes behind schedule, so you should plan on adding extra time for your trip. Regular service resumes Wednesday, May 25.
