TTC detours streetcars for King Street West construction,
starting May 30

The City of Toronto is closing

  • King Street West between The Queensway / Queen Street West and Close Avenue

for a project to rebuild the roadway and streetcar tracks.

The TTC is detouring streetcars operating along the 504 King and 508 Lake Shore routes during the construction.

The City has also progressed with work on another project to rebuild the streetscape and repair gas mains on Roncesvalles Avenue between Dundas and Queen Streets West, so that it can allow two-way traffic along most of the street. That means the TTC can revise the detour for the 313 Jane overnight and 504 King shuttle bus routes, with southbound buses no longer operating along Lansdowne Avenue.

During this phase of the Roncesvalles project, all stops on Roncesvalles receive transit service, except for the southbound stop at Grenadier Road.
