Construction at downtown Kitchener terminal again,
starting May 30

Grand River Transit is again revising service to and from the Charles Street Terminal in downtown Kitchener while contractors repair the roof.

The work, from today Monday, May 30 until Thursday, June 2, closes one lane at a time inside the terminal. While each lane is closed, buses drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops on Charles Street beside or across from the terminal:

Monday, May 30 (reopens May 31)

  • 6 Bridgeport
  • 7 / 7A / 7F Fairview Park
  • 8 Fairview Park via Courtland
  • 8 University via Westmount

Tuesday, May 31 (reopens June 1)

  • 3 Ottawa South
  • 4 Glasgow
  • 11 Country Hills
  • 22 Laurentian West
  • 23 Idlewood
  • 25 Queen South

GRT previously closed parts of the terminal for the same project to repair the roof on two occasions, starting Monday, October 25, 2010 and starting Sunday, January 16.
