Guelph Transit detours buses during Woodlawn construction, May 30 to June 21



Update — Thursday, June 2, 5:10 p.m.: Construction has ended early, so buses are resuming their regular routes.


City of Guelph contractors are working on a project to resurface

  • Woodlawn Road West, west of the Hanlon Expressway.

Guelph Transit is detouring buses operating along the 24 Industrial and 70A Perimeter counterclockwise routes during the work, which starts today and continues for several weeks.


24 Industrial

Inbound buses operate along their regular route.

From Monday, May 30 until Tuesday, June 21, outbound buses operate along their regular route to Curtis Drive and Monarch Road, then detour:

northward along Monarch, turning around and then proceeding southward along Monarch;
westward along Curtis; and then
southward along Imperial Road North to Woodlawn Road West,
resuming their regular route westward along Woodlawn West.

Outbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Curtis Drive east of Monarch Road,
  • on Regal Road south of Curtis Drive and at Woodlawn Avenue West,
  • on Woodlawn Avenue West across from Royal Road and at Imperial Road North.
70A Perimeter counterclockwise

From Monday, May 30 until Tuesday, June 21, buses operate along their regular route to Woodlawn Avenue West and Silvercreek Parkway North, then detour:

northward along Silvercreek North;
westward along Curtis Drive; and then
southward along Imperial Road North to Woodlawn West,
resuming their regular route southward along Imperial North.

Buses skip their regular stops

  • on Woodlawn Avenue West at Regal Road and across from Royal Road.

Inbound buses operate toward downtown.

Outbound buses operate away from downtown.
